AYU CAFE

AYU CAFE is an oval-shaped structure where the sky and the ground meet, creating a breeze that flows through the building. At the overwhelmingly tall main entrance facing northwest, visitors are greeted by a 500-year-old fragrant tree that has protected this land for centuries. The courtyard's granite, visible from the circular interior space, evokes the primal natural environment of Northern Europe. The views through the architecture capture the ever-changing moments of nature, including the land, the river, the towering 200-year-old plane tree, and the sky, creating a dynamic and transient picture. In the underground bakery and roastery spanning 60 pyeong (approx. 198 square meters), fresh specialty coffee and naturally fermented bread are served every morning.
